Today on our 1995 Ford Windstar were going to install Hidden Hitch part number 87507. Here are a couple of measurements that will assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is 4-1/2 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 12-3/4 inches. This will help you with selecting accessories such as a draw bar, a bike rack or a cargo carrier. Now lets go ahead with the installation. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2002 Ford Windstar- Video

Today on this 2002 Ford Windstar we are going to be installing Draw-Tite hitch part number 36189. This installation will also apply for Hidden Hitch part number 90097. We are underneath the vehicle and the first thing we want to do is lower the spare tire out of the way to give us a little bit more working room. Taking a look at the driver side frame rail we have got a larger existing hole here at the end of the frame. That is going to provide our rear most attaching point for our trailer hitch and that is going to be the same on both the driver and passenger sides and then we will put the hitch up. We actually have to drill the forward most hole that we are going to be using as our attaching point. That is going to be in this area right here. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2001 Ford Windstar- Video

Today on this 2001 Ford Windstar, we will be installing Draw-Tite hitch part number 75055. This installation will also apply to Hidden Hitch part number 87507. Okay we are underneath the vehicle and we are looking at the driver side frame rail. We are going to go ahead and point out the mounting location for our trailer hitch here. As you can see here at the end of the frame rail we have got two existing holes. We are actually going to be using the longer oblong hole as our rear most attaching point on each side of the vehicle. What we are going to be using is the carriage bolt and block combination that we are actually going to feed through the frame and pull down through this hole. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2000 Ford Windstar- Video

Today we are going to install part number 13085 from Curt, and we are going to install this on a 2000 Ford Windstar van. I will show you where the hitch bolts up to the frame. It is going to use this existing hole right here. We are looking at the drivers side frame rail. And there are two more holes up in the frame which will be drilled out for the hitch. And it is going to be identical on both sides of the vehicle. First off, we are going to start by installing the hardware into the frame. What is going to happen is, we are going to run this fish wire into the end of the frame rail and out this existing hole here. We pull our hardware from outside back in, and then back out the bottom. It is kind of on the short side, so be careful that you do not pull your wire all the way through. That is it. We will do the same thing now on the passengers side. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2003 Ford Windstar- Video

Today we are going to install part number 13085 from Curt, and we are going to install this on a 2003 Ford Windstar. All right, we will go ahead and start our install. What we are going to do is run our fish wire through this hole, come out this hole here, where this wire is, and then we will go ahead and pull our bolts back through. Run your fish wire, run your plate on. Go ahead and slide it in, make sure you do not - make sure to keep the wire out on both ends of the frame - and then thread on your bolt. Then pull it on back through, just like that. And you want to do the same thing on the drivers side. more
